Dr. Cornick - "Veterinarian":
Doc grew up in Mason City and then attended Iowa State University where he graduated with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1983. After he graduated he worked at a small animal hospital in Chicago. Later he moved back to his home town and opened Pioneer Animal Hospital in the spring of 1987 and has been serving his community ever since.


Amy - "Veterinary Technician" since May 1992:
Amy grew up in Charles City and graduated from Colby Community College in Kansas with her Veterinary Technician Associates Degree.  For a time she worked on a racing horse farm in Maryland before she moved back to her home town and started work at Pioneer. She now enjoys spending time with her wide array of animals, from dogs and cats to cockatiels and torties, along with showing her dogs in conformation and agility. Amy also enjoys the study of animal behavior.


Ashley - "Receptionist" since Oct. 2008:
Ashley grew up in Mason City showing horses and dogs in 4-H and enjoying the country life. She now keeps busy with her 2 cats, 2 guinea pigs, 3 rabbits, and her Clydesdale, Victor. She looks forward to the day when she can move back out and breathe that sweet country air with all her furry critters.

Danielle - "Bookkeeper/Inventory" since Oct. 2008 :
Danielle graduated with Associates of Arts and Associates of Science degrees from NIACC and has 2 cats, Missy and Sniffles.

Kate - "Veterinary Assistant" since Sept. 2010:
Kate grew up north of Mason city on a sheep farm that also had dogs, cats, horses, miniature cattle, goats, chickens, peacocks, geese, ducks, guineas, rabbits, and a parrot (oh my!). She now keeps busy with her dog Duke and her 20 some sheep.

Kyle - "You name it he does it" since Sept. 2012:
Kyle is our most recent employee and has been a great addition. He is our picker-upper, tidy-upper, outdoor-worker, main muscle man. He recently moved here from Washington where he worked at a petting zoo. In his free time he enjoys playing hockey with the North Iowa Bulls.

Tom - "Custodian" since :
Tom is the man who keeps our place shining. A big thank you to him for keeping our floors clean and the trash empty!
